Welcome to École Laurier
École Laurier is a Jr. Kindergarten to Grade 8 French Immersion School nestled at the foot of Riding Mountain National Park in the French community of Laurier. Its goal is to develop proud, confident, engaged plurilingual global citizens. Our school is a warm, welcoming, safe place where the staff, the families and the community work together to help our students realize their full potential. Our school’s mission is to nurture responsible lifelong learners in a safe and supportive environment by working together with all partners of the community to provide a well-balance bilingual education. Our school motto is: À l’École Laurier, mon Français m’ouvre les portes du monde. We take pride in our French Immersion Program. Literacy, numeracy, and infusing the Arts and technology into our curriculum are high priority areas for our school. To ensure that our students have an opportunity to “live” their second language, we provide our students with numerous opportunities to participate in French cultural activities throughout the school year. We hope that as you peruse the website, you will find the information useful and have a better understanding of our school.
